Dr. Waseem Khan, the
founder of Cancer Care of
North Florida, has proven
his dedication to the
Hematology and Oncology
patients within our area as
well as the surrounding
counties. Outside of the
office Dr. Khan is
affiliated
with Shands at Lake Shore where
he served as the Chief of
Staff from January 2004
through December 2005. He is also affiliated
with Lake City Medical
Center and is an active
staff member. At Lake City
V.A. Medical Center he has served
as the Chief of Oncology
and Hematology Services. His
continued effort to aid in the fight
and survival of cancer patients in
this community is remarkable.
Dr. Khan
is a member of Columbia County
Medical Society and has served
as the Vice President in 2004 and
the President in 2005-2006. He is also a
member of the Florida Society of
Clinical Oncology and the Florida
Medical Association. Dr. Khan served
on the Board of American
Cancer Society as the
Medical Advisor in 2003 and
he continues to be actively
involved as Vice President
for 2004-2006 term.
Dr. Khan has
given numerous presentations and has
written several abstract
publications. The research and
active roles he plays in the
community embraces the nature of his
character and reveals his compassion
for hematology and oncology
populations.
Cancer
Care of North Florida is a private
practice headed by Dr. Khan. He has
set the mood and the environment in
which his patients receive their
care. The focus is to provide
personalized, comprehensive patient
care utilizing state of the art
medicine and innovative technology.
